What does a fractional CIO do? Process Improvement Workshop

We are continuing our series that gives back to the industry answering the question, “What does a fractional CIO do?” and each article will outline a specific service offering of Outsourced CIO LLC in the day and the life of a fractional CIO.  Some call this “virtual” Chief Information Officer or “fractional” CIO (we prefer fractional as the “vCIO” term has become a buzzword and misleading – see our FAQ on this).  Because the fractional CIO creates value for growing businesses who might not otherwise be able to afford a Chief Information Officer, our topic for today is “Process Improvement Workshop”

This is can be a quarterly project or service, estimated time 4-6 hours.

Deliverable:  Scheduling and facilitating a 10 point exercise around a Process Improvement Opportunity or Issue and presentation of the findings during the Quarterly Planning Session.

Description:  Organizations are full of processes that can greatly influence success or failure. Regular review of critical processes is essential to keeping these processes automated and streamlined. These team events promote best practices and tools for the teams to improve their processes continually.   Remember, there are always process bottlenecks in every organization. Having a systematic way to review processes from the technology point of view can boost the company’s performance.
